Progressing Ballet Technique Class 2

Today we held our second Progressing Ballet Technique class of the summer, and as ever it was an extremely productive session. The class focusses on strengthening muscles used to improve ballet technique and strength, using yoga balls, mats, and therebands.

During today's class we covered a variety of exercises including developés, ports de bras, core exercises and battements fondus, using therebands for a number of exercises.

While these classes are only offered during school holidays, they are a valuable experience to take forward into classwork as the girls bring their own equipment so the exercises can be practiced at home.

A third class may be scheduled before the end of the holidays, depending on numbers.
